Holiday Happenings in Tuckahoe, NJ

We absolutely love the holiday season. We get a chance to visit with many of our loyal customers as they unpack their holiday decorations from their Tuckahoe storage units, in preparation to deck the halls at home. Plus, there are so many things to see and do in our Tuckahoe, NJ community this time of year; we are never at a loss for entertainment!

Our Guardian Self Storage staff is always eager to share with you what’s happening in our neck of the Tennessee “woods”. We’ve put together a list of events that you won’t want to miss this month.

• Need a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays? Why not grab the kids and go for a nature hike at the Tuckahoe Wildlife Management Area. Winter is a great season for bird watching; bring the binoculars to glimpse a sight of Tundra Swans, Northern Harrier Raptors, Red-tailed and Rough-legged Hawks, and Bald Eagles. They are regular visitors to the area during this season! For updated trail information, call 609-628-2103.

• The Cape May County Museum will host its Holiday Open House on each Saturday in December, beginning on the 7th and running until the 21st. For more information on the events of the day, call 609-465-3535.

• On December 14th from 11 AM – 2 PM, Santa will be making an appearance at the Cape May County Park and Zoo! This is a free, family event, hosted by the Board of Chosen Freeholders, that includes crafts, education stations, entertainment, treats and, of course, the opportunity to get your family photo with St. Nick.

• The Cape May County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center is hosting a Santa Claws Holiday Open House on Sunday, December 15th from 12:30 – 2:30 PM. Come by and see the many loveable animals available for adoption; You may just find the perfect addition to your family!
