Here are a few helpful tricks for efficiently packing your boxes for storage!

1. Go for the Good Quality Boxes

This may seem like an obvious tip, but shoot for quality over quantity when it comes to boxes for packing. Old boxes that have been sitting in your attic are not reliable. Avoid potential box breakage by making sure you have good quality boxes and bins to store your items. If you need reinforcements, our offices sell boxes and other storage supplies on-site. 2. Can You Carry That?

If you try to pack large, heavy items in a large box, you are putting your items at a greater risk of damage. Not only is there a risk of the box breaking, but you are also risking your own health. Everything might fit in the box well, but can you pick it up? Carry it out to your car? Unload it into your storage unit? How about walk across the parking lot and through a storage facility if necessary? Think about the long game when packing. An easy rule to remember is to store heavy items in small boxes and lighter object in your big boxes. This helps to redistribute some of the weight more evenly, so you can your items will stay safe.

3. Label Everything

Future you will thank you. Label your boxes with the room it will be unpacked into and include the contents of the box. When you are looking for that specific serving dish a few weeks down the line, you will be able to find it with ease.
