Everything might fit in the box well, but can you pick it up? Carry it out to your car? Unload it into your storage unit? How about walk across the parking lot and through a storage facility if necessary? Think about the long game when packing. An easy rule to remember is to store heavy items in small boxes and lighter object in your big boxes. This helps to redistribute some of the weight more evenly, so you can your items will stay safe.

3. Label Everything

Future you will thank you. Label your boxes with the room it will be unpacked into and include the contents of the box. When you are looking for that specific serving dish a few weeks down the line, you will be able to find it with ease.
